A customer brought their 5th wheel in this week with concerns that they heard buzzing while they were sleeping, and worried that bees were taking up residence inside their RV. Laszlo and Herschel took the front cap off and found THIS:
Jaw. On. The .Floor. Fortunately for us the bees were already dead, but we quickly found out that our local bees could smell the honey combs. Within the hour we were fighting off a swarm of about 500 live and hungry bees! Herschel contacted a local bee keeper and they suggested to spray the area with bleach and water to kill the pheromones the bees put off.
They also offered to come get the combs and any hives left over! So if you hear, see or suspect that you have a bee infestation; call your local bee keeper and they will collect the live bees for you. After that, call us and we will help get your RV back into shape! For now, we’re going to go eat some fresh and very local raw honey.
